One of the ways NAVRC has continued to engage and interact with members of staff positively is through the bi-weekly interactive session. Over the years; the interactive session has provided opportunity for staff bonding, reassessment of the Sections/Unit’s research activities and procedures, and brain storming on how to move the Centre forward.
Today, Members of Staff were taken on “Work Ethics in the Public Service” The presenter and Head of Administration; Mrs. Etukokwu Chineze, highlighted need for employees to maintain positive work attitudes such as; punctuality, honesty, team work and commitment to their duties. She stressed need for employees to maintain a a strong positive work ethics and place value on their jobs by being committed to their duties.

On the part of the employer, she pointed need for employers to treat their staff with dignity; provide safe and conducive work environment for staff, provide fair wages for services rendered and treat employees with dignity and respect. These she stressed are basic positive attitudes that can help move an organization forward and help achieve it’s goal. As the name depicts, members of staff had opportunity at the end of the presentation, to ask questions, air their views and make contribution towards the topic presented.
