NAVRC expands Disease Vector Surveillance in Nigeria with the setting-up of Disease Vector Surveillance Sentinel sites in more States

National Arbovirus and Vectors Research Centre is expanding disease vector surveillance in the country with the setting-up of  Disease Sentinel Sites  in   more states in Nigeria. Recently, the  Centre set-up disease sentinel sites  in  some communities in Anambra state. This is to determine the risks of arboviral infections outbreak in human population; which will act as timely interventions in order to forestall disease outbreaks in the state.

Earlier, the Team paid an advocacy visit to the Anambra State  Commissioner for Health, Hon. Dr Vincent Okpalla, to brief him on the sentinel sites activities being carried out in the State by the Centre.
