Advocacy Visits to Osu Ajiri and Sarikin Gunki in Nasarawa State

The Disease Vector Surveillance Officers (DVSO), were in Ajiri Community in Nasarawa LGC; where they paid  advocacy visit to Osu Ajiri, Alahaji Halilu Bala Usman, in his farm. The visit was to enlighten the Ajiri traditional ruler and members of his community on the benefits of the disease Sentinel Sites set up in their community by NAVRC.

They educated the people on some habits of man that keep disease vectors in close proximity to man thereby, facilitating diseases transmission to man. They pointed out the need for the people to desist from such habits.

They DVSOs also used the opportunity to appeal for the support of the traditional ruler and members  of his community towards the program. The Osu Ajiri, Alahaji Halilu Bala Usman, was full of appreciation to NAVRC for the initiative and pledged maximum support towards the cause.

Similarly, the DVSOs have paid  Advocacy Visit to the Sarikin Gunki, Alahaji Labaran Aso and his Chiefs, in Gunki Community, Nasarawa State.

They enlightened the traditional ruler and his Chiefs, on what disease vectors are and the public health threats they pose to human existence. They used some practical demonstrations to drive home their messages.

The traditional ruler pledged his total support and that of his community to the cause and commended  NAVRC for setting up the program in his community.
