On this occassion of World Health Day; join as we celebrate effort being made in combating role of mosquitoes, and other vectors in disease transmission through research.
Mosquito has remained principal vector in disease transmission, especially in humans. Mosquitoes are responsible for the transmission of life-threatening diseases such as malaria and yellow fever which has remained a public health burden and concern over the years. These diseases have continued to impact negatively on the health and well- being of individual and the larger society.
It has become imperative therefore, to unite in the efforts being made to combat the threat and mosquito menace by protecting ourselves and community, against mosquito bites, both indoor and outdoor.
Prevention remain key to a healthy life especially in a society where quality and affordable healthcare is still not accessible to all.
