Academic excursions overtime have offered opportunities for students to have better grasp and retain ideas in order to advance classroom experiences. It has therefore become imperative for students in learning especially in a world where education no longer lies in a single classroom.
It is on this premise that NAVRC grants opportunity to students from different institutions of higher learning; to explore the Centre, and gain knowledge of the different research activities being carried out in the Centre.

Recently, 500 level Students of Community Medicine, University of Nigeria Enugu Campus, (UNEC) came on a tour of NAVRC; to gain knowledge of the different research activities undertaken by the Centre in containing the spread of vector borne diseases. The students had opportunities of visiting the different research Sections and the Insectary where NAVRC Staff were on ground at each point; to teach and demonstrate to the students how some of the research activities were carried out in the different sections visited. They were also taken round the different mosquito colonies and laboratories where they were shown the different methods of catching mosquitoes, their feeding habits, and how their study aid in researches.
